We are offering assistance in preparing for oil major inspections.  This would typically include a pre-audit being carried out with the master and officers being given guidance into what the expectations are and alternative answers where the company management system has a slightly different approach to the norm.

There can be a lot at stake when it comes to oil major inspections.  For the sake of a few incorrect answers,  given because the crew did not fully understand the question, vessels are often not accepted or on hire time is delayed.

Did you know that based on hundreds of vessel inspections, it is quite likely that your crew don’t know how to transmit a distress message using the GMDSS radio equipment on board.  *(Finding of about 70% of vessels audited)

We have our own reputation at stake as well as the interests of you and your crews welfare, so we are not about to cheat the system.  What needs to be rectified will be brought to your attention.

Any gaps or failing in the system will  be rectified there and then where possible.  Assistance with how to resolve larger issues will be given.

Along with basic vessel inspections to oil major expectations, we are now offering vessel auditing to OCIMF OVID (Offshore Vessel Inspection Database) and IMCA CMID (Common Marine Inspection Document)  standards.  We can also help you with the the inputting of the OCIMF OVPQ (Offshore Vessel Particulars Questionnaire).  Some oil majors are already requiring this.
