Along with a wealth of experience
gained on both sides of the fence, I have the advantage of having written some of the contractor auditing system which was adopted by corporate Shell. I know what the expectations are. Registered OCIMF OVID Auditor.

Having a willingness to share my knowledge and experience, I have been described by several vessel operator managers, consultants and Brunei Shell staff, as being their mentor.

 Brunei Shell HSE and technical focal point to contractors for offshore operations.

 Barge mooring and 2, 4 and 8 point mooring experience.

 Verification of compliance with maritime legislation such as SOLAS, MODU code, and other mandatory IMO (International Maritime Organisation) requirements.

 Extensive offshore Ship handling experience including AHTS in heavy weather conditions, work boat, dive support, heavylift etc.

 Shipyard, docking, vessel modification.

 Deck officer and command experience in many types of Merchant vessels including Container, Offshore support, Heavy lift, 4 & 8 point moor, Passenger, Ro-Ro, Reefer, General cargo, Gas Tankers and training vessels.

 Active and energetic, keeping abreast with current legislation and developments

 Enjoy good working relations with foreign and developing nation crews.

 Experience in training of Pacific Island, Asian and Arab seafarers, including practical fire fighting, survival, Risk Assessment, Safety Awareness and Hazard Identification.

 Good HSE awareness with practical working knowledge in HEMP procedures.

 Senior management experience including the establishment of ISM, (International Safety Management) emergency procedures, budgeting and accounting.

 Management and shipboard auditing. Established standards, which have been adopted globally by Shell.

 Member of the Brunei Shell Petroleum, Business Improvement management team.

 Yacht, house and engineering designer - Winner of world-wide yacht design competition. Commodore of Kuala Belait Boat Club.
